Life of a Mystic- Jung, Frankl and Underhill

This section in the InnerSense Journal has seen regular articles which describe and discuss what a mystic is and how many people fit this description even though it does not seem apparent. Evelyn Underhill describes mysticism as “The Art of Union with Reality” while Wilson van Dusen describes mysticism as the direct experience of God and others equate it to experiences which bring a sense of meaning and greater understanding to their lives. The three people who feature in this section in the journal all bring a variety and richness to what we can consider as the mystical aspects of  life.

These are three articles that also add to the discussion around the connections between, psychology, religion, psychotherapy and spirituality. If they interest you please consider writing for the journal or posting your comments at the blog and read what others have written —
